So now I've a shiny new webserver and I'm trying to simplify things, I've decided not to host my photos on this server, but to simply have them all on my Pixelfed account (clicky to visit).

I'm now posting quite regularly on there and it seems silly to duplicate the effort. I'm currently going through my back catalogue, gifting myself the opportunity to re-edit with my current workflow (it's always improving). I export from my edit process to a pixelfed.social folder and tag them with a green label when they've been posted.

You may not know (or even care) that I recently switched allegiences from Canon branded gear to Nikon. I'd been faithfully using Canon for years but am now in the Nikon camp with a Z7ii and Nikkor Z mount lenses. I just bought a 180-600mm tele to encourage me to go out shooting birds and wildlife again.

The bane of my photo-editing life used to be keywording and creating Pascal-cased tags, but I created an AI workflow that gives me an IPTC description, alt image description, IPTC keywords and custom hashtags when I drop a screenshot of an image I'm editing into it. I finally found a use for AI!

You use Pixelfed? Hit me up and follow me. I'm pretty good at following back so long as you mostly post your own work and include Alt descriptions (we're all about the accessibility).
